My name is Ronnie Fein. I am an old timer in the food biz. A cookbook author, journalist, recipe creator, one-time talk show host and a bunch of other food-related callings. I’m also married with two grown daughters, both married and with children, so that makes me a grandma. I have lots to say about food and now that I’ve reached that “certain” age, it may give me a broader perspective on ingredients, trends, recipes, healthy eating and so on. Most of all, over the years I’ve learned how food pushes emotional buttons and how it sometimes conjures memories. That’s what this blog is about. I’m going to write about my food memories in hopes that what I say will stir your own memories. I hope you’ll share them with me. I’ll give recipes, of course, and if you have some, please pass them along as well.
